If you're thinking about having your special ceremony on Martha's Vineyard, then it's official: You're a romantic.

The Vin Wiz has been to a few Martha's Vineyard weddings, and every one has been totally beautiful & fun. Your ceremony will shine on our bright little island. The Vineyard has this air of timelessness, built upon layers & layers of time itself. The sea breezes soften and the Sun scintillates. It's....perfect.

Also, our island is a GREAT place to have a happy party with your family & friends. All the anticipation, excitement, and good will, topside on the ferry, pulling into the harbor; It's a little 'King Arthur-y", y'know? A travelling pageant on it's way to a great feast. Here's a thought to insure your wedding's good karma: Sometimes, after a wedding somewhere on the Island, we'll see fireworks lighting the sky, flashing over the water. It looks cool, and it's quite an impressive display of wasting money in celebration, but please do not set off fireworks after your wedding. Not to be a drag, but we're a notable stop on the Great Eastern Coastal Bird Sky-Highway. We are very proud to share our island with the majestic Ospreys, beautiful, eagle-like sea-birds, that make their nests atop high poles near the shore. Their future depends upon their ability to nest, lay, and hatch successfully. Things blowing up right above them freaks them out completely. Nests get abandoned. It's sad. A better idea is to give all the kids sparklers, then get a little buzzy-wuzzy on. Close enough. Better yet, if you can, build a bonfire, pass some wine, and all sing songs together after the dancing's done.On the Vineyard, when in doubt, choose mellow.
